Our experts work with leaders in colleges and universities across the country and around the world to facilitate collaborative strategic planning processes that build collegiality and transform cultures, supporting co-authored strategic plans that are immediately ready for use.  While our experience has been in higher education, our commitment extends to all levels of education.

Our expertise includes engaging administration, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and community partners to develop strategic plans that include everyone’s best thinking.

Featured Projects

Indiana University School of Social Work: We helped the School of Social Work create a strategic plan using a series of stakeholder-driven planning tools, including a World Café, Group Concept Mapping, and an all-school retreat, resulting in a clear articulation of commonly-held values and a strategic framework ready for implementation.

Ithaca College, Roy H. Park School of Communications: We supported the Park School in developing its strategic plan, resulting in not just a roadmap for the future, but also a renewed sense of community and commitment that is re-invigorating the culture of the institution.

Rush University Medical Center: We led a strategic planning effort to better understand research priorities, including conducting interviews and focus groups, facilitating action planning using Group Concept Mapping results, and establishing baselines for process, progress, and impact evaluation.

cornell

Cornell University: Using Group Concept Mapping and a series of facilitated meetings, we helped the Division of Human Resources clarify the talent attraction process and make it more effective and efficient.

“The process helped me be inclusive and transparent. I am now taking the framework for the basic outline of our strategic plan. CSI was extremely flexible to our emerging needs and very clear about process and roles. I’ve gotten great feedback from faculty and staff on the retreat.”
